Garvonta Davis vs. Lamont Roach cards in added Three fights

Garvonta Davis vs. Lamont Roach

The undercard of Gervonta Davis  vs. Lamont Roach is shaping up nicely.

Two world title fights and an interim title fight have been added to the PBC bill, set for March 1 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

In the co-feature attraction, WBA super lightweight champion Jose Valenzuela (16-2) defends his black and gold strap against Gary Antoine Russell (17-1).

Russell is the younger brother of former long-reigning WBC featherweight champion Gary Russell Jr.

He came up short against Alberto Puello via split decision in his last fight but was dealt a blow for the second time in Brooklyn by the divisional elite.

“I can’t wait to get back in the ring and show my skills,” Russell said.

“When the heat is on in the kitchen, not everyone can perform, but as Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson said, ‘Can you smell what we’re cooking?’ We’ll find out on March 1 if Valenzuela is ready.”

Valenzuela made a statement in August by taking the WBA super lightweight title from Isaac Cruz.

The 25-year-old came into the ring in late 2023 after coming back from a controversial decision loss to Chris Colbert in six rounds to crush the once-mighty American.

“I’m here to show the world what it means to be great,” Valenzuela said.

“Bring me your most ferocity, and I’ll bring their heads back. On March 1st I will win against Garry Antoine Russell and solidify my legacy in the super lightweight division.

“Don’t miss it, because I’m making sure everyone knows where I stand at 140 pounds.”

Further down the line, WBC super lightweight champion Alberto Puello will face Sandor Martin in a fight that promises to be a firework.

Two-weight world champion Puello, who previously held the WBA lightweight belt, rose from interim to full WBC world champion last June when he defeated Devin Haney ‘champion in retirement.’

“This is my time, my stage and I’m ready to put on a show that the fans will never forget,” Puello said.

“When we step in that ring, it’s going to be fireworks. I’m going to bring the best version of myself and do whatever it takes to come out with a win.”

“I’m doing this for the Dominican Republic, this fight is for them and I’m going to make them proud.”

Martin is no stranger to big fights. He retired former three-weight world champion Mikey Garcia with a career-best win in 2021 and caused Teofimo Lopez all sorts of trouble when they faced off a year later.

The Spaniard has shown his incredible talent but has yet to win a world title.

On March 1, he wants to change that.

“A new super lightweight king will be crowned on March 1,” Martin said.

“Alberto Puello has some experience, but he won’t be ready for what I’m bringing to Brooklyn. That beautiful WBC belt is coming back to Spain with me.”

Also on the card is a WBA interim super welterweight title fight between rising star Yonis Tellez (9-0) and former unified super welterweight champion Julian Williams (28-4-1). UFC 312

Tank Davis’ “Zesty” Makeover Worries Team Bradley Lamont Roach

Davis vs RoachTim Bradley says Garvonta ‘Tank‘ Davis’ new look is a sign he “doesn’t give a f***” what people think of him. Bradley says that Tank looks “real zesty”, which he sees as a positive because he feels he knows who he is now. A leaked photo of WBA lightweight champion Tank (30-0, 28 KOs) shows him reclining in a beanbag chair with long hair straightened, possibly by pomade, and what appears to be makeup around his eyes. It’s not clear if it’s eyeshadow or mascara.

“Zesty” and pissed he sees it as bad for Gervonta’s next opponent, Lamont Roach, as he will take it out on him when they fight on March 1st at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Tim doesn’t say how Tank’s new nonchalant attitude about his physical appearance is connected to him taking it up with Roach because it’s not like he bad mouthed him.

If anything, he seems grateful for the pay. The Power of Wealth Garvonta Davis Tanks are rich, and like many rich people, they don’t care what people think of them. They are no longer living in the real world because of their wealth. When you have mega-wealth like Tank Davis, it’s freedom from needing to care about the judgment of others.

Since then there have been no pictures of Tank with new hairstyle and glasses. It’s hard to tell if the new look is a sign of Davis’ development or just the mood of the day. If we see him always looking like that, we can conclude that he is “evolving” as Bradley says. “He just doesn’t give a f***.

Tanks are going to be tanks. The tank is going to do what it’s going to do,” Bradley said. “Whether he looks fine or not, he knows who he is. There’s a superpower to it. Guess who he’s going to take it out on? He’s going to take it out on Lamont Roach. “I feel sorry for Roach. He’s a good fighter, But I tell you. This tank is different. Did you see the weight [Gervonta] tomorrow?

The boy can fight today. Boy can fight whenever. “It’s a few weeks away. It’s months away from the fight. I say you’re all locked in,” Bradley said. I don’t see how Tank is going to treat Roach any differently now than he did the moment he was contracted to fight. Bradley is really reaching with his opinion.

The fight is a mismatch and always has been. The weight of the tank is the real thing. He looks like he’s near the 135-lb limit right now, meaning he could easily drop down to 130 or 126 to take on the top guys in the division. Naoya Inoue is the fighter that fans want to see tank fight and that match could happen.

“Killing me” – Garvonta Davis makes feelings clear after online spat with Lamont Roach

Davis vs Roach

After a few days of distraction, the March 1 showdown between Garvonta Davis and Lamont Roach Jr. is back on track. On January 5, Davis shocked the world when he announced the cancellation of the highly anticipated fight on his Instagram story. The story sent fans into a frenzy, who despite their reservations were excited to see the Baltimore native in action.

PBC has already postponed the upcoming fight twice, and considering ‘Tank’ announced 2025 as his last year in boxing, a cancellation would hurt fans. However, it looks like things are back on track as the pair have gone back and forth online for a fight. However, it doesn’t look like the WBA lightweight champion is a fan of such feuds.

Tank and Roach have previously engaged in a few spats online in the lead up to the upcoming fight. This time was no different, as the WBA super featherweight champion took an impressive dig at the 30-0 boxer on his Instagram story. She posted a selfie of herself with the caption, “I’m at the gym now. Ya stay cool like you cool,” claims that while Gervonta Davis focuses on nonsensical stunts online, he’ll be busy training.

However, the Baltimore native left all his reservations for the upcoming fight at the Barclays Center. She’s focused on fighting and was even seen rocking a new ponytail look. The renewed intensity of online spats is great news for fans. However, fans would rather have Davis answer all the hate inside the ring; He has done something throughout his career.
